Pokemon Meowth | Pokemon Sword | Pokemon Shield | Nintendo Switch

Meowth is a Scratch Cat Pokémon with a cream-colored fur and a gold koban coin embedded on its forehead. It can walk on its hind legs and can retract its claws whenever it wants to move silently. Meowth loves collecting shiny things, and even able to produce coins using Pay Day. This Pokémon will wander about city streets at night to look for sparkles things to be picked up. When it finds shiny things, its eyes will shine with a bright, shimmering reflected light, and so does the coin on its forehead. In addition, being known as a fickle Pokémon, Meowth is extremely smart. Its intelligence is the same as humans, making it be able to teach others of its kind how to speak. As it enjoys collecting shiny objects, Meowth prefers to live in urban areas.

Meowth was given as a gift of royalty in Alola. It's accustomed to luxury because it used to live with Alolan royalty. As a result, Alolan Meowth becomes selfish, prideful, and cunning. If its coin or pride is dirty, it will become hysterical as it seems Alolan Meowth hates besmirched things. However, as soon as the monarchy fell, Alolan Meowth was not rare anymore.  It went feral and became common in Alola. Additionally, it has a slight difference with other Meowth. Instead of brown, its fur has a light, bluish gray color.

Different from Kantonian and Alolan Meowth, Galarian Meowth has a shaggy, grayish-brown fur and a toothy grin. Living with a savage, seafaring people have toughened this Pokémon's body so much that parts of it have turned to iron. Galarian Meowth also has a coin on its forehead just like other Meowth that lives in other regions, but the coin is harder than other coins. It’s known that darker coins are harder, and harder coins garner more respect among Meowth. This Meowth doesn’t get along well with Kantonian Meowth.

Thanks to Gigantamax power, Meowth’s body has grown incredibly long and the coin on its forehead has grown incredibly large. There is a symbol on this gold coin that is thought to be the key to unlocking the secrets of the Dynamax phenomenon. Through this coin, this Pokémon is able to release a lot of Gigantamax power, surrounding the area with a golden gleam. Gigantamax Meowth is the only known Pokémon that is able to use the exclusive G-Max Move G-Max Gold Rush.
