Pokemon Magikarp | Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu | Pokemon Lets Go Eevee | Nintendo Switch
Magikarp is famous for being very unreliable. It can be found swimming in seas, lakes, rivers, and shallow puddles. Magikarp is a pathetic excuse for a Pokémon that is only capable of flopping and splashing. Whoever its opponent, and however horrible the attack Magikarp receives, all it does is Splash around. Magikarp jumps and splashes about for no reason, making it easy for predators like Pidgeotto to catch it mid-jump. It may jump high on rare occasions, but never more than seven feet. A Magikarp living for many years can leap a mountain using Splash, yet the move remains useless. This behavior prompted scientists to undertake research into it. However, in the distant past, it was somewhat stronger than the horribly weak descendants that exist today. Although weak and helpless, Magikarp is incredibly fertile, so they exist in such multitudes. Thanks to their strong hold on life, Magikarp can survive in any body of water no matter how polluted it is, so dirty water doesn’t bother them at all. That’s why you can find Magikarp in waters all over the world.
