Pokemon Pikachu | Pokemon Sword | Pokemon Shield | Nintendo Switch

Pikachu is a Mouse Pokémon that is covered in yellow fur and having two horizontal brown stripes on its back. There is a red circle on each cheek that apparently is an electricity pouch. Pikachu uses its electricity to receive and send messages with each other. When it meets others of its kind, they will sniff one another and rub their tails together as a way of greeting. Pikachu is able to check its surroundings by raising its tail, yet it is sometimes struck by lightning in this position. This Electric Pokémon will charge itself while sleeping overnight. However, charging up is not as smooth as being thought since stress and lack of sleep can affect this. Pikachu is able to release varying intensity of electric discharge. It has been known to build up energy in its glands and release the energy through its tail. It is also capable of electrifying itself to use its signature move, Volt Tackle. Pikachu is the only known Pokémon that is able to use Z-Move Catastropika, and it is also the only Pokémon that is able to use the Light Ball item.

Pikachu comes in various forms; and one of them is “Pikachu in a cap”. This form of Pikachu is always male and has eight variants. Each of them wears one of Ash’s hats: Original Cap, Hoenn Cap, Sinnoh Cap, Unova Cap, Kalos Cap, Alola Cap, Partner Cap, and World Cap. Different from Normal Pikachu, Pikachu in a cap has its own exclusive Z-Move, 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt.

When Pikachu comes to its Gigantamax form, it begins to grow larger and chubbier. It glows a bright yellow and becomes as powerful as a lightning strike due to its ability to store all of the electricity it generates. Its tail becomes longer now and there are three red clouds floating around it. However, though Gigantamax Pikachu has a power that is equal to that a power plant, people cannot use it in their homes for a long time as Pikachu can only remain in its Gigantamax form for a short time. Gigantamax Pikachu is the only known Pokémon that is able to use G-Max Move G-Max Volt Crash.
